Software Carpentry Teaching
I’ve taught quite a few 2-day Software Carpentry workshops at many institutions, big and small. At these workshops we present basic skills of computation to scientists. This helps scientists get started in using their computers as a tool to advance and accelerate their science. We do this by teaching basics of the Unix command line, programming in Python or R and how to use Git version control and showing how they can be useful for scientific workflows.
